Product Description

The power to Save! All TED 5000 series models include interactive software embedded in the Gateway to store up to 10 years of energy usage information. The TED 5003-G comes with all the necessary hardware for monitoring energy usage from three different power sources. The package includes three MTUs (Measuring Transmitting Units), three CTUs (Current Transformer Sets) and one Gateway with the embedded Footprints software. The TED 5003-G is perfect for homes with: three electrical panels, single electrical panel and two wind/solar inverters, two electrical panels and one wind/solar inverter, single electrical panel and two subpanels, and two electrical panels and one subpanel. The TED 5003-G is compatible with net metering installations and independent monitoring of subpanels. This package DOES NOT include the wireless display. The CTUs clamp around your wire conductors and connect directly to the MTUs, which transmits energy usage data directly to the Gateway. The Gateway stores and graphs the data from each MTU separately, but your total energy usage can also be viewed in the aggregate as well. Data can be displayed locally on your home computer, but it also can be accessed remotely via an internet connection (IP) on the web or compatible mobile phone (Smartphone) application.

Got this for my wife, who loves anything solar.It's heavy... And works well as an external battery.Had to "spank" the unit to re-charge. So, that works.But we've yet to be successful having the unit chargethe battery from the solar PV array. If I can get thePV array to work, then I'll revisit this review, and update...Until then, it's just an expensive heavy external battery.

This is the Solarland original. Beware of cheap imitations. Ours were initially made to recharge medical equipment in remote areas with no power. Ours are manufactured with A grade panels and designed for mobile use. Others may be made with B grade panels which produce less energy then advertised in real world conditions.

AA ++ All The Way

I usually do not take the time to review products I've purchased from amazon.com. This purchase is the exception. The equipment arrived on time and in good working order. For the money and my particular needs this kit is perfect. It is also capable of being expanded which is a big plus. Portability and convenience were my main objective when I chose this kit. It has not disappointed. It even came with a handy storage / carry bag. The tilt/fold-away leg stand is another great feature of this solar panel kit. I researched long and hard to find a panel kit that was portable and free standing yet one with a decent amount of wattage capability and a reasonable price range. Charge controller (in-line) comes with the kit as well as adapter accessory cables. Very supportive and knowledgeable customer service staff who took the time to custom assemble some optional cable adapters I requested !! Very satisfied. An all around good purchase.

This solar water heater is primarily used with a water storage tank which has a built-in heat exchanger and backup electrical or gas heating for cloudy days. A working station is used to accommodate for pressure changes and to pump the fluid from the collector to the heat exchanger inside the tank when the collector has a hotter temperature than the water in the bottom of your tank. Water is heated when the hot fluid is pumped through the tank. A mixture of water / propylene glycol can be used for the heating fluid to allow for use year-round (no freezing problems). An air vent should also be installed the prevent breakage of the lines in case of boiling and to help rid of air during use.

Uni-solar PVL-136 BIPV amorphous solar panel laminates

The Uni-solar panels have been on my aluminum roof for almost a year now and I am quite pleased with them. First, they are almost invisible unlike most other solar panels and they have performed well in this unusually cloudy spring we have been experiencing in Western Washington. My solar array is composed of 3.5 kilowatts of panels and, based on their first winter and spring performance, it looks like we won't need to worry about using more power than we produce on any than the darkest days of December and January. Almost every day our batteries are reading 14 volts by 11am.
