The solar panel works very well with a voltage in the range of 16-21V in full and slightly shaded sunshine. I am however disappointed with the MPPT Controller as it only outputs just over 11 volts instead of the claimed 12 volts plus. This means it does not charge a 12 volt battery as claimed.

This is the same panel I wrote a review for on another amazon page. It was OK at first; I wouldn't by this again though, or recommend to others.It is not the easy thing the photos and advertising imply for set up. It takes more time to set up and take down than my other solar panels. You need to use it with all its many bits and pieces, and they don't have a tight fit... so you can easily think you're charging something and you aren't. For example, you have to plug your AC cord into the converter that you use to fit your two or three prong cord (for electrical devices you want to use/charge, into the 110V converter and then the charge controller. Which basically just means is that you can't plug your device directly into the converter, like other converters on the market, adding an extra connection to your system. Because the connections are loose, if you don't balance and support these multiple connections just so they can fall at an angle or come apart slightly. This will result in you thinking it's OK and your things are charging, when no charge is occurring, sometimes for hours. If you are relying on solar charging and that tiny little connectivity positioning didn't happen, it's going to be very maddening or disappointing.I've used this panel now for approximately one year. It doesn't work anymore. Fortunately I have two other panels that I bought at the same time, PowerFilm brand, which do still work. Don't spend hundreds of dollars on this; there's a lot out there, look for something with durability and reliability.

This foldable solar panel looks well constructed. It puts out the power. Charged my motorcycle battery quickly. Measured voltage to battery with my cheap meter and was around 14.5 volts. Now to use this foldable solar panel for other project ideas.
