I have always had good service from Morningstar controllers. Not the cheapest, but well worth the price. Works just as advertised.

I purchased one of these to replace a 10 Amp version that I accidentally overloaded...Whoops... Nice thing is, unlike a different brand I started out with ,these do have overload protection, both on the incoming and outgoing power.So even though I overloaded my 10 amp version, it was not toast, I still have it and will use it again on a future project. The fit and form of these units are exceptional. It's main body is extruded aluminum anodized black.The metal housing makes it one of easiest I have seen to mount, 4 screws and its done.Very rigid mount to the control box.I do really like the connection points for the Solar panels and the Battery. They are all insulated from each other, and very clear as to what goes where. There is nice protective cover for the wire ends after the connections are made.It looks very professional. The Indicator lights on the front are fairly straightforward, however if it throws an error, you must dig through the instruction manual to find he right page to decipher them.The unit I first received had a programming error in the logic. When it would go into night-time mode, it would read an overload condition. When this happened, all the lights flashed.It would not allow power to output or input and it would not automatically reset. After a call to the manufacturer, and a quick description of the problem they were "Johnny on the spot" to get me out a replacement unit. The new one came in in just a couple days with a UPS return shipping label ready to go. Great Customer service!The unit has been functioning now for the last several weeks with no issues.The unit I received came in only a couple days, and had a nice little thank you note from the seller.It was a nice touch.Very affordable solar controller, best quality I have seen for the money. Highly recommend
