Goal-0 has some nice battery offerings (particularly the Extreme 350), but I cannot recommend this inverter. While it might look nice in pictures, the product has a very plastic feel. In addition, my unit sometimes fails to provide power until I jiggle the connections, plug and unplug things, and generally fiddle with it. For something that is intended for emergency uses (among other things), I am uncomfortable trusting it to be there for me.My experience with Goal0's customer support, however, has been very positive. I have had to call them on numerous occasions and they have answered quickly, been polite, and resolved things efficiently. I've purchased about $900 worth of GoalZero products and hope that my "early adopter" money goes into making their products more robust and reliable. Are they there yet? Not quite. Pretty packaging, foreign-made construction. Hope they improve.

More Power Scotty! paired with the inverter and 30 watt battery wich you can pre charge from the wall socket, on the trip from you lighter socket or paired with the 30 Watt solar "briefcase" you've got the juice.Thought: get two and you have a pair of 25 lbs dumbells for working out!

I give two star's due to quality of this product. The design is good. The reason I dislike this product is soley based on its performance which was a great dissapointment. This product is not recommended for anyone looking for alternative power due to weather or utility outages for long periods such as with Sandy where we were without power for 12 days.
