These are the "Top of the line" in charge controllers for small systems. The ProStar 30 features "intelligent" charge controlling that will significantly improve battery life and performance.
Settings for sealed or flooded batteries, low voltage disconnect, temperature compensation and PWM (pulse width modulation) battery charging.
LCD display shows battery voltage, solar amps and load amps.
For 12V or 24V systems, rated PV current 30 amps, rated load current 30 amps.

I have had two PS-30 controlers with the display in my cabin for over 4 years now and never had any problems. I can't say if these are any better than other makes but they are still performing perfectly. The termination screws are easy to use, I liked the look and price of these. I noticed that the price hasn't come down any in 4 years you can decide of that is a good or bad thing.

WE HAVE HAD EXTREMELY GOOD LUCK USING THE MORNINGSTAR SOLAR CONTROLLERS. THEY ARE EASY TO USE AND HOLD UP IN THE HARSH CONDITIONS THAT WE USE THEM IN.

Good stuff we have two in different locations never failed over 5 years these unit are on a every day usage, we providewireless internet to rural areas at Northern NM and we used this to provide energy to the AP`s (access points/Antennas)
