very interesting thin energy producer. i just wish they did not break as easy as they do. they are very fragile but once you get them soldered together and complete the panel it is a very productive energy source as long as it is in good to excellent sunlight or a very bright light to produce the voltage that it is rated for depending on how many you use together. but other than that it does what it is rated for. and when the electricity goes out i wont be without power. because i have a completed solar panel that produces 12.36 DC volts hooked up to 3 separate battery banks which consists of (3) 12 volt deep cycle batteries and each battery has 36 amp hours of life and each battery bank is hooked to a DC to 120v AC power inverter which will supply power (if the electricity goes out) to my lights in the living room as well as the T.V. and computer and a microwave and mini fridge. so i am set up for emergency happenings....and the good thing about all of this is that i only spent 25.00 on the solar cells to make my panel and 140.00 on the 9 batteries and 99.00 on the power inverters and 25.00 on the wiring i am using. so all-in-all it is a very good investment that is going to last for a minimum of 20 + years.... plus i did a test to see if it would cut down on my electric bill some , and i did the test for 2 months by just using the solar panel to power my T.V., cable box and lights in my living room just to see how much of a difference it would make to my electric bill and it saved me on a minimum basis of 12.75 a month....so in all reality if you add that amount times 12 , the price i paid for everything pays for itself and then some...I AM A HAPPY CAMPER.
