Product Description
The Eco-Aerator Floater shown here is all the aeration you need to clean and stimulate your 1 acre, 10 foot deep lagoon, lake, or retention pond.
Biologists at Inks Dam National Fish hatchery in Austin, Texas, have completed pilot studies for aerating one-acre fish ponds using solar power.
By combining a 120-watt photovoltaic
panel with efficient deep water air pump
and 9" air diffuser they found it mixes the entire pond and maintains high and constant oxygen levels.
Texas AM University, College Station, which owns and operates six of our largest EKBS-20 Solar Aerators has conducted intensive aeration studies on tilapia aquaculture. A worst case scenario discussed shows only 0.5 kw (286 gms/hr O2) of medium bubble aeration (1 cfm or 28 lpm @ 6% SOTE) is needed to provide 1000 lbs of actively feeding tilapia with all the aeration needed to thrive.
The Eco-Aerator is based directly on these studies with a permanent wet/dry floating mount, a 9" fine bubble epdm air diffuser, and one 1.1 cfm air pump.
Our solar array is mounted on a low profile aluminum frame attached to a 3 ft x 4 ft deck placed anywhere, on land or water, wet or dry.
Simply secure the deck with the included auger tipped pipes.
Next, center the diffuser (drag or drop) on the pond bottom, up to 100 feet away from the mount.
If you can open the box you can setup this unit and secure the SFD dock with a pipe wrench to screw the augered pipes into the shoreline bottom.
Includes: One, 12V, 18 watt, 0.10 MPa, 1.1 cfm diaphragm air pump with replaceable inlet air filter. 100 ft of 3/8" weighted air hose. Two battery boxes (Batteries Not Included). 9" membrane diffuser.
Unit is supplied with all parts needed to begin aerating the water in direct sun. Add your batteries and run 24/7 for up to 3 cloudy days in a row.
